Authentication ​

SideStore Connect offers two authentication methods: email/password and GitHub SSO. Users can register with their email and password or log in via GitHub, granting access to their SideStore Connect account and associated features.

Registration ​

To access the features of SideStore Connect, users must complete the registration process. There are two methods available: email and password registration, and registration through the GitHub Single Sign-On (SSO) provider. The following steps outline the registration process:

Email and Password ​

1. Navigate to the registration page on SideStore Connect.
2. Fill in the required information, including a valid email address and a secure password.
3. Submit the registration form.
4. Check the registered email inbox for a verification email from SideStore Connect.
5. Click the verification link to confirm the email address and activate the account.
6. Upon successful verification, you can log in.

GitHub Single Sign-On (SSO) ​

1. On the login or registration page of SideStore Connect, click the Sign in with GitHub button.
2. You will be redirected to the GitHub authentication page.
3. If you already have a GitHub account, log in to your account. If not, create a GitHub account.
4. Authorize SideStore Connect to access your GitHub account information.
5. After granting authorization, you will be redirected back to SideStore Connect, where a new SideStore Connect account linked to your GitHub account will created.
6. From then on, you can log in to SideStore Connect by clicking the GitHub login option and authenticating through GitHub.
